Morning over looking the Colorado Monument
Sunday morning I woke up at 5:30, packed camp, ate a quick breakfast and I was on the road by 6am. I took a back roads route to Grand Junction following the perimeter of the Colorado Monument and got to the Tabuache System otherwise known as the Lunch Loops around 6:30am. I had to leave the area by 10:30am as I still had a 4 hour drive home and my girls flight was landing in Denver at 3:15pm.
Kokopelli it seems even has his mischievous hands on the Tabuache

The Tabuache System was sweet and I wish I had more time to explore it but I finished my morning right at 10:30 as planned and got back to Lakewood by 2pm. My girls flight was delayed due to Tornado warnings and thunderstorms in Denver but they finally made it in around 5:30pm. It was a good weekend but I'm glad to have my family back and to be back near the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
